AGROFORESTRY - President´s forum

On 29 September 2026, the Czech Academy of Sciences will host a unique meeting of four leading global figures in agroforestry. For the first time in the Czech Republic, the Presidents of EURAF and IUAF – founders of European and international agroforestry structures – will come together to share their lifelong experience from both research and practice.

Participants will gain direct insight into what has proved successful in different parts of the world, where the limits of current approaches have become apparent, and which principles can be applied in temperate climates. The discussion will also explore the role of agroforestry in the context of climate change and its place among other land‑management and agricultural systems.

The programme includes contributions from ministry representatives, lectures by global leaders, a panel discussion, and space for informal networking. AI‑powered live captions will provide simultaneous Czech–English translation throughout the event.

The event is intended for professionals and stakeholders in agriculture and forestry, including representatives of institutions, ministries, professional associations, public administration and academia. Attendance is free of charge; registration is required.

You will find the registration form at the link above on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture. Anyone interested in agroforestry is welcome to register for the event. In the form, all fields marked in red must be completed – your name, enterprise size, e‑mail address, and information on whether you are under or over 40 years of age.

It is not necessary to have a business ID number (IČO) or to be a farmer. Participants who are not farmers should select „Malý podnik“ as the enterprise size.
